There was one dodgeist though, who impacted modern art with his work. This artist was Pablo Picasso. Born October 25, 1881 in Malaga, Spain, Picasso was a child portent in art. Picasso participated in the art community through with(predicate) his sculptures, prints, ornamental art, writing, drawings, and above all, his paintings. Pablo Picasso was the genius of art at his time, reflecting his emotional state, events and time, and boldness in his various forms of art. Picasso inspired other artists not only through his work, but also created a new form of art that changed aspects, and he played a huge part in making modern art the route it is today. Pablo Picassos life began in Spain. His father Jose Ruiz Blasco was an artist and an art teacher. By the age of 9, Picasso had become an excellent artist with the help of his father. When Picassos family go around Spain quite a bit during his childhood because of the way his fathers job changed location. By 1891 they had moved to La Caruña where he took his fathers classes at the Escuela de Belles Artes. In 1895 they moved again to Barcelona where Picasso began to grow independently as an artist.

By 1900, Picasso exhibited 150 pieces of his art at the Els Quatre Gats. After his exhibition at Els Quatre Gats, Picasso was invited to the Exposition Universelle in Paris, France for his painting, Last Moments. It was around this time that Picasso wavered between subsisting in Paris and Spain (The Art Dictionary; McQuillion). Eventually, Picasso began living in Paris and a period known as the Blue Period of his art began. This ranged from around 1902 to 1904.
