Being an American means you fetch to be very dedicated to volunteerism. The U.S is the number one country that actually has its citizens helping each other. The main thing is we’re doing it without pay. We’re providing out time, money, and services to make our community a discover place, not only for ourselves exclusively for others. It’s all about helping the common good. I just look at it as following the rule of respect - treat others the direction you want to be treated.
Being an American is also, about video display patriotism. A true American loves their country so overmuch that they would do anything for it. That means you would fight for its people, and for the flag any day. A true American would dedicate most of their time to volunteer and make the world a better for everyone.
Last but not least I think being an American is all about diversity, and tolerance. If everyone had the same race, ethnicity, language, traditions, and customs the world would be boring.
Everyone wouldn’t have a chance to express themselves or express how we could be different. We wouldn’t have any traditions or customs to believe in or pass on in generations. Without diversity I don’t think America would be the same. If there’s diversity involve that means you have to have tolerance. You don’t have to accept the differences but you do have to throw away up with them. Even though we have freedom of speech you should put up or shut up.
