When it comes to me listing to lectures, I normally like to do it in person. I watched the debates this past election and listened to different speeches on the television. I dislike listening to lectures on the internet be lawsuit my vocalizers argon imprint and I cant really enjoy the honorable effect of any speeches. After trying desperately to listen to these elections, I found each speech was good. I retrieve that my favorite speaker out of them all was Shashi Tharoor. He was precise entertaining and he kept my attention throughout the all speech. The thing that I kept hearing each speaker talk about was hushed power. They spoke on soft power as if it was the best thing since the discovery of America. apiece person made some clear and precise judgments. I am going to start with the focus on Joseph S. Nye, junior His speech made me speak out outside the box. I didnt think that I was going to enjoy his mellow t integrity, solely he was to the point with a lot of issues that we didnt think about.
Nye suggests that there are two major power shifts that are going on in our society. He feels that on one hand, power is being moved from the West to the East. On some other hand, he feels that power from the government is being shifted to nongovernmental actors. Do I agree with this from his speech?



The answer is yes, I believe that in some sense power is shifting toward nongovernmental areas. The best use I can give would be Osama Bin Laden. He wasnt in power with the government, but he did address power that most countries didnt process. I believe that some people are coming into power with money or what they kept referring to which is soft power. Soft power is when people exonerate followers without having to pay them. Bin Laden had a cause and he used his cause to focus on the horrors that he and his terrorist would bestow upon the world.
