It is marked by sadness, a feeling of worthlessness, and sentence that that nothing one rear end do matters (Cyntryn, Mcknew, 31). Depression is a very common and treatable mental illness. Some people turn over that impression is a made up illness because puberty sh ars the same symptoms. That belief is false because mental picture lasts longer than puberty. At some point in life, everyone experiences depressed moods. However, there is a limit on how long it lasts and how serious it can be. by and by a while your depressed mood inevitably turns into a mental illness. According to the National Institute of Mental health (NIHM), about 18 million Americans or more are depressed and anywhere between 112,000 and 2,324,000 are teens, (Cobain, 3) Some causes of depression are environmental, in that the situations in which one lives affects their behavior. For example, say a young child grows up with her mother and father in the home; but her parents operate a divorce, this affects not scarcely the mother and father but the child which can deuce-ace to depression.

When a biological factor comes into play the child may have learned the depressive behavior from a parent or a friend. Such as, if you look up to your mother or father who drinks to rid them of problems, most likely you will do the same because you learned it and the same goes for depression. Another cause of depression is enmeshment. Enmeshment is when you depend on your family too much, and you feel like you can not live your life without them. For instance, if you fear leaving your sign without your family, you would be diagnosed with enmeshment because of abnormal closeness.
