Research Plan

Problem/question: When microwaving food in a plastic container, do chemicals from the container migrate to your food? Will this realize health problems or harm people in separately way?

Hypothesis: If you microwave your food in a microwaveable container, then chemicals from the container will be released and go into your food.

Materials:
One plastic, microwave safe food container( I choose to use Ziploc)
sense of balance that can measure up to ten- thousandth of a gram
Tweezers or rubber gloves
microwave
Scissors
Ruler
Styrofoam tray
Paper towels

Data Table:

Procedure:
turf out twelve(12) champion inch by one inch(1x1) square pieces from a plastic microwave safe container. Place on news wallpaper publisher towel covered Styrofoam tray.
Cut little notches in separately square piece to number them (ex: piece one has one notch, piece two has two notches)
Use balance to confer each piece individually. When placing pieces in/on balance, use tweezers or wear gloves(so that nothing from your hands gets on pieces). Record information in column labeled Weight of individual pieces in the beginning microwaved. Notice what number the piece you weigh is and book of account the selective information next to the corresponding number in the table.
Weigh each group (there should be four groups of three pieces).



Record entropy in table nether column labeled weight unit of group before microwaved(dont forget to also record which pieces are in which group- this is the purpose of the notches)
Before microwaving, place paper towel on the inside(so as not to get anything on pieces that could create errors in data)
Use tweezers or gloves to handle pieces. nuke group two (2) for 1 min. Take out and batch back on tray.
Microwave group three (3) for 3 min. Take out and fare back on tray.
Microwave group four (4) for 5 min. Take out and set back on tray.
