In the stories Shame by Dick Gregory and I Became Her sharpen by Roger Wilkins, the main character ar both newborn black children who are faced with racism in society. One difference between the boys was their teacher. In Shame, Gregory had a disgusting teacher who was very antiblack. He assumed that since Gregory was black he could not spell, nor read, nor do arithmetic.
